Children and adolescents today face unique pressures, from academic stress and social media influence to complex family and peer dynamics. Because of their developmental stage, therapy for young people must look different than therapy for adults.

Children communicate and heal through play. Play therapy allows younger children to express emotions, process anxiety or trauma, and build coping skills in a developmentally appropriate way. Toys, art, and creative activities become their language when words are not enough.

Whether through Trauma-Informed Child Therapy, Integrative Play Therapy, Expressive arts, or Play-based EMDR, children need specialized treatment options that work with the child's brain development in mind.
