I am committed to fostering a safe, affirming, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where chronically invalidated individuals can finally feel seen and empowered. My passion lies in supporting folks who feel lost or misunderstood on an individual, familial, or societal level, particularly LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and otherwise marginalized clients. I also love working with young adults emerging into the often-overwhelming world of adulthood, and helping them navigate this complex stage of life.
I believe lasting healing requires a solid foundation, which we'll build together through building our relationship, gathering your existing resources, and developing new skills, before diving into deeper work. I also embrace humor, creativity, and joy as essential components of resilience. I welcome you to use expressive arts, movement, and fidgets to help you process during our sessions!
My academic background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Florida and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. My style is eclectic as I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including strengths-based therapy, psychoeducation, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills training, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I'll tailor my approach to your individual needs and preferences.
It takes immense courage and energy to seek support, especially when you're already struggling. I commend your courage and look forward to learning and growing together
