My vision for therapy is that everyone should have access to connective and individualized care. With a decade of experience in the field, my practice has consistently centered on a humanistic and person-centered approach. I have various skills and training to include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Trauma-Focused Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child Centered and Filial Play Therapy, Adverse Childhood Experiences and Youth Resiliency training, Attachment and trauma, and Suicide Intervention Training. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (Virginia) and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (Florida). I am a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor™ through the Association of Play Therapy and a Certified EMDR Therapist through the EMDR International Association. I am also a Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) provider and Certified Autplay Therapist.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Education and a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. I not only help motivate and build clients, but I also believe in motivating and building therapists as a Licensure Clinical Supervisor, Adjunct Professor, and EMDR Consultant.
I believe counseling can be a fun and empowering journey, rooted in authenticity, and I am excited to help facilitate that with others!
I am committed to fostering a safe, affirming, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where chronically invalidated individuals can finally feel seen and empowered. My passion lies in supporting folks who feel lost or misunderstood on an individual, familial, or societal level, particularly LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and otherwise marginalized clients. I also love working with young adults emerging into the often-overwhelming world of adulthood, and helping them navigate this complex stage of life.
I believe lasting healing requires a solid foundation, which we'll build together through building our relationship, gathering your existing resources, and developing new skills, before diving into deeper work. I also embrace humor, creativity, and joy as essential components of resilience. I welcome you to use expressive arts, movement, and fidgets to help you process during our sessions!
My academic background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Florida and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. My style is eclectic, as I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills training, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I'll tailor my approach to your individual needs and preferences.
It takes immense courage and energy to seek support, especially when you're already struggling. I commend your courage and look forward to learning and growing together
At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens when people feel genuinely understood, and care is tailored to their unique needs. I strive to create a calm, supportive space where you don’t have to perform or have it all figured out—a place where you can slow down, process, and begin making sense of what you’ve been carrying without judgment or pressure. Together, we navigate challenges, build insight, and move forward in ways that feel empowering and aligned with your life.
I provide services to children, adolescents, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, chronic illness, parenting, spirituality, and difficult life transitions. I am particularly passionate about supporting those who have felt unseen, misunderstood, or constrained by societal or relational expectations. With children and teens, I integrate play-based and expressive approaches, such as sand tray, art, and creative interventions, to help them communicate emotions, process experiences, and build coping skills in a way that feels natural and safe.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Health and Biomedical Sciences and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida, completing clinical training across medical, school-based, and community settings. I use a variety of evidence-based approaches, including EMDR Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Strategies, Mindfulness, Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Expressive Arts, tailored to each client’s needs.
